Well, according to Butch, it took long hours, hard work, a knack for hiring good people, a little luck, and love for what they were doing. "And we were always pretty good in wood shop," adds Donny. "When it's your name, your family's name on the table, you take special pride in the finished product." Does Butch agree? "Yup."

After years of in-the-field experience Butch and Donny Olhausen founded the company in 1973 in a San Diego garage. They both are physically involved with each stage of production, as they were in the beginning and have dedicated themselves to producing a distinctive product at a very competitive price.
